DAY 22 - Song of Solomon 2:15
Key Scripture - Song of Solomon 2:15 ESV
“Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.”
Consider for a moment that your life is representative of the vineyards. The vines that are in blossom are your dreams - your life. Then along comes a fox. At first glance, we see the cute animal with a furry tail and pointy nose... perhaps no danger at all. Farmers and agriculturalists know all too well that if the fox is not caught it has the potential to endanger the crop. In Australia, the fox is now responsible for agricultural impacts valued at over $200 Million per year. Who would have thought that a cute creature could cause so much damage! Negative thoughts and speech are just like the fox. If not caught right away and dealt with, those words can cause damage to our dreams and to our life. Don’t be fooled into thinking that it’s “just” a word. I encourage you to catch those dangerous, death bringing words before they are even spoken. As you place yourself on guard over the vineyard of your life and dreams, you will soon catch the words before spoken and eventually train your thoughts to line up with promises of God. Don’t allow the little foxes of negativity to spoil your vineyard of dreams.
