DAY 24 - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Key Scripture - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

This is one of my favourite scriptures because it details what God wants for our life. He desires for us to be full of joy. Even when situations arise that may try to steal our joy, He provides the answer on how to deal with it. Simply put, He wants us to pray and express thankfulness. So, I guess… hidden in this little scripture is the anecdote for negativity – prayer and thankfulness. Today, I encourage you to CHOOSE joy. Guard your heart and mind from the worry & fear that can settle in and steal your joy. When negative situations or thoughts arise, simply take it to God in prayer and begin to thank Him for anything and everything you possibly can. You’ll find that in just a short time, your spirit will be uplifted and your faith built up. Remember, God’s will for you is to be JOYFUL!
